A few weeks ago there was a big craze going around on Facebook to put up vintage photos of yourself for your avatar.  Not one to miss out on a “fun” social media trend, I started looking through some old pictures to scan and came across a picture of me with my very first bike!  I’ve had more bikes than I can count since then, but this is the baby that started it all.  It’s a sweeeeeet Sears (not a Schwinn) Free Spirit single speed complete with banana seat, high handle bars, fenders and a super patriotic paint job! Later on of course I added baseball cards in the spokes and tassel streamers on the hand grips!  And ever the cycling fashion victim, I’ve got on clothes that match my bike…strange how some things never change eh?  So what was your first bike?  If you’ve got pix, share them, I’d love to see what you rode.
