Amazing Birthday Advice (Thanks 1999)
Wow, another year come and gone…and they just keep going faster. Yup, you guessed it, today’s my birthday. It’s been a year full of some of the biggest ups and definitely some of the biggest downs in my life. My most sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of my friends and family who stood shoulder to shoulder with me through the rough spots and kept me smiling and laughing and loving life. Thanks to all of you, I’m happy to still be alive and breathing on planet Earth. Of course my deepest thanks goes as always to the unsung hero of my life, my wife. And to my two little sons who keep me smiles everyday, I can never repay the debt. My amazingly awesome brother Glenn sent this video of an old “song” from way back in 1999 called Everybody’s Free (to Wear Sunscreen). Maybe you don’t remember it but check it out, it’s a great video to watch at least once every year and it’s full of absolutely the most useful advice for living!

Wii Sports…on Rollers!!!
OK, so it’s the end of February, you’ve been doing lots of indoor training and you say you’re getting a little bored? Do you want something to really challenge yourself with? Try what these guys do, play Wii sports while on your rollers. Seriously, these guys are amazing. I have a hard enough time training on rollers as it is, never mind trying to play Wii tennis at the same time. I can just see myself flying into the walls and ending my season early. But, for all you roller fanatics, give this a try and let me know how you do.
The Fake Tour de France Video
How many times have you done a long tough climb only to get to the top to celebrate alone? Well, maybe what you need is to ride in France and run into Remi Gaillard and his crew atop your next climb. Watch this hysterical video and tell me it wouldn’t feel so good to finish a training climb with this crazy crowd! Or, tell me how much fun it would be to do this to one of your riding buddies!
My Training Partner
Well, it’s winter, the streets are snowy and wet and that means training inside…but that doesn’t mean I’m not smiling. I’ve got this great little training buddy who makes me laugh and smile every time I get on the indoor trainer.
